The wine is garnet red in color, with ruby highlights. The aroma is clean and intense, with hints of vanilla, spices, dried roses, and undergrowth. The flavor is dry yet soft, full-bodied, velvety, and harmonious, with a long, persistent finish.

E’ il Barolo più classico dell’intera gamma di Fontanafredda, quello che nasce da diverse parcelle di nebbiolo situate a Serralunga d’Alba, fulcro delle attività quotidiane della cantina.
Un prestigioso vino piemontese su cui è concorde la critica internazionale, riconoscendogli interessanti profumi – in primis floreali – e un corpo sempre diretto e facilmente appagante. Il mosto ottenuto dalla pressatura gentile degli acini fermenta in contenitori d’acciaio a una temperatura controllata di 30 gradi centigradi; l’affinamento successivo si svolge sia in barrique di rovere di Allier sia in botti grandi, dalla capacità di 2.000-3.000 litri.
Un’etichetta che promette di evolvere per i prossimi 10 anni, perfetta per accompagnare le occasioni più formali e anche per allietare le conversazioni di fine pasto.
