Emozionante sotto ogni aspetto, questo Primitivo di Manduria Riserva DOP “Anniversario 62” della cantina San Marzano, che rappresenta perfettamente i grandi vini del territorio.
Al naso è complesso, con aromi di frutta rossa matura e spezie, trama potente e muscolare in bocca, che rimane decisamente impressa nella memoria. E un vino per cuori forti, che sappiano apprezzare i muscoli di un vino che, paradosso, sa essere contemporaneamente aggraziato ed elegante come un pugile che danza sul ring. Il vino affina 18 mesi in barrique.

Il Ravello Rosso Riserva nasce da uve Piedirosso (localmente detto pere e’ palummo) 70% e Aglianico 30%. Presenti nell’omonimo comune su Terrazzamenti costieri a 300-400 mt/slm esposti a sud/ sud-ovest i vitigni crescono su un terreno composto da rocce dolomitiche-calcaree. Sono allevati con il sistema pergola e/o raggiera atipica, spalliera. La raccolta è fatta a mano nella terza decade di ottobre.
Le uve raccolte al momento della loro completa maturazione, dopo diraspatura e pigiatura sono sottoposte a fermentazione con macerazione intensa della durata di 20 giorni con successiva fermentazione malolattica ed elaborazione in barriques nuove di rovere francese. Prima di essere imbottigliate il mosto riposa per 12 mesi in barriques nuove di rovere francese.
