Cartizze Dry 'Luxury Collection' is one of Mionetto's flagship sparkling wines, representing a creamy and fragrant expression of the Cartizze area. This terroir, considered the pinnacle of Prosecco, owes its fame to the unique microclimate and soil conditions, which allow for the cultivation of Glera grapes of extraordinary quality. Cartizze is a hilly subzone of the Valdobbiadene area, comprising just 108 hectares in total, from which the prestigious Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze DOCG is produced. Factors contributing to the area's unique characteristics include excellent ventilation, the vineyards' excellent southern exposure, the richness of the soil in minerals, and the significant temperature variations between day and night.
The 'Luxury Collection' Mionetto Cartizze Dry is a 100% Glera made from vines grown in the Cartizze area. After harvesting, the grapes are transferred to the cellar for meticulous white wine vinification, based on soft pressing and subsequent alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks. Once ready, the sparkling wine base is transferred to an autoclave for the second fermentation in the bottle according to the Martinotti Method, otherwise known as the Charmat Method. It then ages for several months on the lees and in the bottle before being released for sale, with a residual sugar content of between 20 and 26 g/l, thus qualifying as a Dry wine.
The Cartizze Mionetto 'Luxury Collection' Dry has a straw yellow color with golden highlights and a persistent, very fine perlage. Fruity aromas of ripe apple and pear fill the nose, along with exquisite pastry notes reminiscent of candied orange and caramelized almond. On the palate, the sugar content lends a sweetish character, well-supported by a pronounced freshness in a harmonious, creamy progression.
