L’unico vino della cantina Santa Maria in grado di vantare la certificazione DOCG che ne garantisce l’origine. Il raffinato Blend di uve che lo compone è rappresentato per l’85% da Sangiovese e per il 15% da Cabernet Sauvignon. Prodotto per la prima volta nel 2000. Giovane e dinamico, il Santa Maria Morellino di Scansano si presenta come un vino fresco, morbido e fruttato, ideale per ogni occasione. La provenienza delle uve è geograficamente localizzata nella Provincia di Grosseto nel cuore della Regione Toscana. La vinificazione prevede una macerazione delle bucce nel mosto di almeno 11 giorni. Subito dopo viene completamente svolta la fermentazione malolattica dopo quella alcolica. L’affinamento avviene in acciaio e si sviluppa per 10 mesi consecutivi. Prima della commercializzazione riposa per ulteriori 2 mesi in bottiglia.
