Franciacorta Brut Rosé DOCG

The Franciacorta Brut Rosé from the Lombardy winery Ferghettina is a sparkling wine capable of combining structure and gustatory agility, made from only Pinot Noir grapes.

The bunches are vinified through the Marmonier vertical press, an ancient oenological machine used for pressing which respects the intrinsic characteristics of the grapes as much as possible. In fact, the pressure applied by the press is rather delicate and this allows the skins not to be crushed, thus extracting only the most noble substances.

Ferghettina Franciacorta Rosé Brut is a 100% Pinot Noir from 14 different vineyards distributed across 4 municipalities in the Franciacorta area, located at approximately 250 meters above sea level. The harvest is carried out by hand usually in mid-August, in order to preserve the natural organic acid content of the grapes, which are then vinified in whole bunches through the Marmonier press.

Only the free-run must extracted from soft pressing is placed in stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature, followed by a few months of maturation, again in steel. In spring the base wine is then bottled and added with draft syrup for secondary fermentation according to the Classic Method, with at least 36 months of aging on the yeasts in glass. Once the rest period sur lie is over, we finally proceed with the disgorging and the Brut dosage.

The Rosé Franciacorta Brut Ferghettina is pale pink in color with brilliant reflections, with subtle and persistent effervescence. On the nose there are delicate hints of bread crust, strawberries, wild berries and almond, while in the mouth it is direct, clean and elegant, with a good structure and bright freshness. The epilogue brings with it pleasant savory and fruity sensations.
